The ideal candidate is a visionary change agent who will provide leadership for the City's Succession Planning/Workforce Development Project, provide administrative leadership in labor negotiations with four unions and assure that the HR Department continues to lead the organization with innovative best practices. A Bachelor's degree required with a major in psychology, human resource management, public or business administration; strongly prefer master's degree and a minimum of ten years of senior level human resources/personnel/organizational development/executive. Related combination of training and experience considered. The starting salary for the Director of Human Resources is competitive and dependent upon qualifications and experience.
