The City of Tucson is looking for an innovator who can serve as advisor to the City Manager’s Office on technology and City-wide communication strategies and provide leadership to the IT Department. The ideal candidate is a good communicator who understands the public service environment, builds trust relationships between the City and the public as well as within the IT department, is responsible for City-wide technology and support, and maintains the City’s position nationally as a leader in technology and government access programs. A Bachelor’s Degree required with a major in Public or Business Administration, or a related field, including or supplemented by courses in information systems and seven years of progressively responsible management experience in information systems, including the design and implementation of systems, as well as authority for program operation and budget administration.
