SUMTER COUNTY, FLORIDA
Sumter County is located in Central West Florida, covering 562 square miles and with a population of approximately 70,000. The City of Bushnell, near the southwest border of the County, is the County Seat. The Engineering Manager reports to the Public Works Director. The Engineering Manager supervises five Engineering Technicians. The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a reasonable related field. State of Florida Professional Engineer Certification is required or the ability to obtain certification within 12 months of employment. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have 5 years experience in civil engineering, surveying, drafting or roadway/utility construction plus 3 years supervisory experience. The starting salary range for the position is up to $85,000 depending on qualifications.
