As stand-alone training courses or supplemental
training that supports a management and operations consulting project, we presented the following training programs on productivity improvement, quality, teambuilding, and employee relations:
Productivity Improvement: Developed and
conducted productivity improvement training programs for Pensacola and Palm Beach County, Florida; the International City Management Association; for Arlington, Odessa and Corpus Christi, Texas; Ramsey
and Anoka Counties, Minnesota; Atlanta, Georgia; Middletown, Ohio; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; the Venezuelan Productivity Commission; the University of Texas Public Executive Institute; the University of
Michigan, and many others in both the public and private sectors.
Teambuilding: Directed major teambuilding
and productivity improvement programs for top management of Pinellas County and Pensacola, Florida; Colonial Williamsburg Foundation; Atlanta, Georgia; Alexandria and Arlington County, Virginia; and
others. In addition, we have:
- Conducted teambuilding sessions for key managers of the Atlanta Water Bureau.
- Conducted teambuilding sessions between the Mayor/Council and City Manager in Aspen, Colorado and Delray Beach, Florida
- Interviewed all members of the Town of Jackson, Wyoming Police Department and conducted a teambuilding project to focus on
internal improvements between them and the Chief of Police.
Organizational Development: Directed
a major project to utilize a diagnostic instrument (our Organizational Climate Survey) with a stratified sample of 20,000 employees of the City of Houston, and established criteria for selecting departmental
productivity officers and training them in techniques of operations analysis and participative management to define both short- and long-term positive productivity improvements. We have applied and
presented the results of the OCS to over fifty local government clients.
Organizational Analysis: Developed and
presented a training course on an organizational analysis methodology to consultants at KPMG Peat Marwick.
Operations Analysis: Developed and
conducted a comprehensive training program, developed comprehensive operations analysis manual and provided a follow-up assessment of an internal operations analysis and productivity improvement group
for a large southwestern city.
Water Utility: Delivered, in
association with an information systems consulting firm, a series of day-long issue identification, teambuilding and organizational development sessions for the Milwaukee Water Works following the
cryptosporidium crisis.
