OSCEOLA COUNTY, FLORIDA
Osceola County is located in the heart of Central Florida, covering 1,506 square miles. It has a population of approximately 235,000; the population is growing rapidly and is projected to reach 525,000 by 2025. The City of Kissimmee is the County Seat and has a population of 48,000. Kissimmee is 18 miles due south of Orlando. The Transportation Planning Manager reports to the Planning Director. Osceola County is seeking someone with a Master's degree in Planning or Engineering but must have at least a Bachelor's degree in Planning, Engineering or a related field. The ideal candidate must have four to six years of transportation planning experience and experience in a larger, growing community is desirable. The starting salary for the position is up to $95,000, depending on qualifications. Fringe benefits are generous.
