NORTHERN KENTUCKY HEALTH DEPARTMENT

The Northern Kentucky Independent District Health Department provides critical community health services, intervention programs and other  public health support to a population of over 390,000 citizens residing in four counties within the Northern Kentucky region.  The District Director leads community health assessment, disease prevention, treatment and/or referral, development of policy and the assurance of quality services to the communities it serves. The District Director also serves as the Department’s Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing a workforce of over 195 professionals and volunteers with an annual budget of $16 million. Much of the District borders the Ohio River, making it a part of the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan area. The District’s service areas vary from affluent commercial and industrial urban settings to historic small towns nestled in the world renowned rural Kentucky countryside. The District seeks an astute public health professional with well-developed leadership and management skills who is willing to make a long term commitment to the health district. Candidates should possess a graduate degree in Public Health or a related field with a minimum of five years of increasingly responsible experience in a management capacity with a public health department/system. A physician qualified by training in public health, preventative medicine, public administration and licensed or eligible to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Kentucky is desirable. Salary is up to $130,000 D.O.Q. coupled with a highly attractive benefit package.
