NORTH FRONT RANGE METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION, FORT COLLINS, COLORADO
The North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization, a federallydesignated transportation planning organization and a state-designated air quality planning agency is seeking an Executive Director. The NFRMPO includes two urbanized areas in the North Front Range of Colorado, and includes Fort Collins, Greeley, Loveland and surrounding communities.
Qualifications and Experience: This position requires a Master’s Degree in Transportation, Planning, Engineering, Public or Business Administration or a related field and a minimum of 8-10 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The Director provides management and direction for the 15-member MPO Council, including the development of multiple unified, long-range transportation plans and programs. The preferred candidates will have experience in leading complex projects, planning studies, and programs, preferably at an MPO, state or municipal government, and also demonstrate an understanding of transportation systems, programs, and legislation.
Excellent communication skills and leadership skills are essential, including an ability to establish and maintain a rapport with staff, MPO Council and stakeholders across the region.
Compensation: The salary range for the Executive Director position is $96,160 to $149,040. The MPO offers a generous benefit package that includes health, dental, vision, vacation and sick leave, disability, and retirement benefits.
