Montgomery County is seeking a Director of Job and Family Services. The selected individual will work at the will of the County Administrator. The ideal candidate for Director will be able to direct complex social services and programs in a large and diverse urban environment. Candidates must have the ability to achieve continued success at the highest levels of organization and continue to influence enhancements to the services offered. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field to Job and Family Services. A related Master's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred. Other advanced degrees may be considered a plus. The successful candidate should also possess a minimum of eight to ten years of professional employment in the field of social services administration or supervision. The successful candidate should have a minimum of five years executive-level experience working with complex programs and service delivery and a successful track record of collaboration with local, state and federal agencies. The Department of Job and Family Services has achieved national recognition as being a progressive social services organization that has taken the lead on both a national and state level in setting the direction for other similar agencies in the country. From award winning programs to the creation of a 370,000 square foot Job Center, Montgomery County has been at the forefront of forward thinking, responsive and innovative methods to provide and enhance opportunities for the public. The use of committees allows Commissioners to participate based on their specific interests. The starting salary for Director of Montgomery County Job and Family Services will be market competitive, depending on the experience, qualifications and salaried history of the selected individual. The expected starting salary will be in the range of $89,311 to $133,967. In addition, Montgomery County expects to provide an excellent fringe benefit package.
