Martin County is located on Florida's east coast about 100 miles north of Miami. The County has a population of about 140,000 and covers 556 square miles. Incorporated municipalities include Stuart, Sewalls Point, Jupiter Island and Ocean Breeze Park. The County operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The County Administrator has two Assistant County Administrators who supervise the day-to-day operations of county government. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in Public Administration or a related area. The successful candidate will have at least a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or a related area and at least five years of experience in public administration with at least three years in a senior management position. The starting salary range for the position is up to $120,000 depending on qualifications.
