The Transportation Director reports to the County Manager. Reporting to the Transportation Director are Division Managers for Fleet Services Division, Transportation Services Management Division, Land Acquisition Division, Traffic Division, Engineering Division, Highway Maintenance Division, and Stormwater Division. The Transportation Director is responsible for 250 employees and an operating budget of $30 million.
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Masters desirable. P.E. highly desirable. Minimum of 8 years of engineering and transportation management experience in a local government setting, with at least three years supervisory experience. The candidate must have a combination of management skills and strong technical skills.
The starting salary for the position is up to $120,000, DOQ.
