The City of Huber Heights, Ohio (pop. 38,000), a growing progressive community in northeastern Montgomery County (Dayton) seeks a Director of Planning and Development to direct and anchor business and residential development and retention. This expanded position will be a key member of the City Manager’s staff and have supervisory authority over 8 FTE, including the City Planner, technical and administrative staff. Huber Heights is growing steadily with much opportunity for continued business and residential development. A growth opportunity for ideal candidate with talent and experience in codes, comprehensive planning, development and retention. Bachelor’s degree in planning, public administration or related field, minimum 5 years urban planning and development experience, including 3 years in progressively responsible supervision, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
