Growing planned community of 11,000 located east of Metro area within Denver city limits, founded in 1983, seeks an entrepreneurial District Manager to build, market and operate a new community center, build new maintenance facility and preserve sound financial planning and management. Convenient to all amenities of Denver urban center, international airport and the Colorado high country. The GVR community values its parks and open space, youth recreation programs and diversity of residents. District is a quasi-municipal corporation and political subdivision of Colorado under the Special District Act, governed by elected 5-person Board of Directors, responsible for funding District facilities and certain municipal infrastructure, maintaining open space and storm drainage, management of recreation programs, 11 FTE. City of Denver provides Police, Fire, water and sewer. Salary to $72,000, DOQ, with potential for bonus compensation related to performance on the new Community Center, plus PERA and excellent benefits. Degree in parks and recreation, business or public administration or related field, plus community center management, Special Districts, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
