Degree in related field, graduate degree desirable, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Solid strategic management and growth management experience as city manager or other responsible administrative position and familiar with protecting historic, small town atmosphere. Experience with active, knowledgeable citizenry, high-quality service delivery. Skills in facilitating Council priorities and aligning work programs and budgets. A collaborator with neighboring jurisdictions and major institutions such as a university. Record of successful communications, intergovernmental relations, team building and staff development.
