The City of Daytona Beach is situated in Volusia County on central Florida's east coast. Daytona Beach has a population of about 65,000 and encompasses approximately 65 square miles. The City of Daytona Beach operates under the Commissioner-Manager form of government. The City Manager and City Attorney are appointed by the Commission. The Daytona Beach Police Department has 246 sworn full-time officers, 105 sworn part-time officers and 81 civilian employees to serve the Dayton Beach community.
Starting salary range for the Police Chief is $100,000 - $120,000, depending on qualifications. Generous fringe benefits.
