The current population of Charlotte County is approximately 170,000 and it continues to experience rapid growth. Punta Gorda is the County seat and the only incorporated city in Charlotte County. The Utilities Director directs the operations of water and wastewater utilities, collection and distribution systems, gas, and regulatory administration of other utility systems. Charlotte County Utilities is a water and wastewater utility which serves more than 53,000 homes and businesses throughout unincorporated Charlotte County. The salary range is $74,700 - $123,200 depending on qualifications. Generous benefits including relocation incentives. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, public administration, business administration, environmental science, or related field, supplemented by graduate course work and at least eight years of progressively responsible utility system experience including considerable supervisory responsibility at a senior management level. Water and/or Wastewater Certification preferred.
