INTERNAL SERVICES DIRECTOR

CITY OF AURORA, CALIFORNIA

The City of Aurora, Colorado is seeking an Internal Services Director. Aurora is the third largest city in Colorado and is one of the most diverse cities in the Aurora/Denver metro area, boasting many great neighborhoods, proud citizens, and friendly people.  Its history is one of change, growth, diversity, and community.

Auroraís strategic location is in proximity to Denver International Airport, Interstate 70, and E-470.  A new light-rail project (in 2015) will create a significant positive impact upon the City. Qualifications and Experience: The new Internal Services Director will possess a Bachelorís degree in business or public administration, management, human resources, or a directly related field. A Masters degree is preferred.

The Director should have a thorough working knowledge of human resources, risk management, purchasing, procurement, and fleet services.

The position requires at least 5 years progressively responsible experience in managing an administrative services function to include human resources management in a large organization, including at least 3 years supervisory experience at a senior management level.

The Internal Services Director will be an energetic and experienced leader who possesses outstanding management, financial, supervisory and communication skills. Developing credibility, trust, and a reputation of fairness within the organization will be extremely important.

Compensation: The hiring range for this position is $105,000 to $145,000. The City offers a generous benefit package that includes, health, dental, vision, vacation and sick leaves, short and long-term disability, and retirement benefits.
