Stable Commission-Manager form with 5-member nonpartisan City Commission with Mayor selected from Commission; 1 manager since 1986. Salary competitive, DOQ. (Current Manager’s salary $92,000 plus benefits.) 144 FTE employees, $15.1M budget, including general fund, CIP, water and sewer enterprises. Residency required. Strong leadership and management style to work in a participatory environment. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with demonstrated experience in economic development, grant opportunities, municipal budgeting and finance, negotiation skills for tourism, housing and recreation developments, and sensitivity to historic downtown vitality.
