The HR Manager reports to the Deputy City Manager of Administrative Services. 175 employees plus part-time and seasonal, with 3 public safety bargaining units and one in public services. Ideal candidate is an HR professional with a strategic outlook for comprehensive HR planning. Experience in a full-service HR environment; knowledgeable in recruitment, selection, compensation and benefits, HR law and best practices; experience with collective bargaining, training and employee development; familiar with risk management and workplace safety, performance measurement and appraisal. Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field plus 5 year’s experience including public sector, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
