This is responsible technical and administrative work of considerable difficulty in the control and supervision of the City’s total water distribution and wastewater collections system. The Manager is responsible for the direction and supervision of all the subordinates assigned to the water distribution and wastewater collections systems which includes the operation of all equipment and related maintenance and the installation and repair of the water distribution and wastewater collections systems, pump stations and related equipment.
The employee exercises considerable initiative and independent judgment in developing and carrying out the total program, with work subject to review by Utilities management.
Applicants must have: graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in civil, mechanical, chemical, or sanitary engineering; business or public administration; or other appropriate job related field; and possess at least five (5) years progressively responsible experience, in a water and/or wastewater system servicing a population of 100,000+ which included at least three (3) years experience in a supervisory capacity. Experience must have included technical and administrative responsibilities in water distribution and/or wastewater collections systems.
Compensation
Starting salary range is $64,563 - $93,496, depending on qualifications. Fringe benefits are generous.
