Requires Bachelor's degree in Personnel Management, Finance, Public Administration, Psychology or related field with a related Master=s degree preferred. Requires experience in human resources and/or Public Administration graduate who wishes to work in the City Manager?s office in a professional environment, effectively carry out the personnel functions and eventually purse a city manager career track. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are acceptable. Requires good knowledge of principles and practices of personnel and benefits administration, a person who learns quickly, good knowledge of federal and state laws affecting personnel and benefits, computer skills, excellent communications and interpersonal skills, able to maintain confidentiality and work with minimal supervision, understand and explain complex material and a commitment to professionalism.
